Congratulations to Anya Le Monnier who has been selected into the Team Bath Netball Under 21s squad. Trials were held in October and Anya was selected into the long squad, following weekly training sessions and further trials Anya has been selected into the final 15. Training sessions are held every Tuesday evening alongside the Team Bath Super league squad. Anya is also in the Team Bath High performance programme which includes training as part of the Super League S&C and ...technical sessions. We are absolutely delighted for Anya. She has persevered over the years and now she has been recognised for all her hard work and talent. When Anya comes back to Jersey she attends Team Jets training and has been busy helping with Club training and Netball Development sessions. |

Congratulations to Abbie Le Marquand who has been selected into Severn Stars U19 NPL squad. Abbie has been attending training each week and her hard work has paid off as she is one of the youngest in the squad at 16 years.

Selection trials took place at Loughborough University earlier this week and two squads have been named to compete for the Netball Europe trophy in Cardiff and the Fast5 title in Australia. The Roses head to Wales in early October as they look to retain the Netball Europe title they won in Newcastle last season. The England Roses squad selected for Netball Europe is as follows; Sasha Corbin (Captain), Natalie Haythornthwaite (Vice-Captain), Natalie Panagarry (Vice-Captain), Summer Artman, Eleanor Cardwell, Sophie Drakeford-Lewis, George Fisher, Jodie Gibson, Josie Huckle, Leah Kennedy, Gabriella Marshall, Vicki Oyesola Reserves: Amy Carter, Amy Clinton, Iona Darroch, Razia Quashie, Francesca Williams Later that month, it’s back to Fast5 action where England have had a successful history in the shortened version of the game, lifting the title in 2011 at the home of the 2019 Netball World Cup in Liverpool. The current champions are New Zealand, the most successful nation in the history of the competition. Le Monnier, Norman and Rothwell in Team Bath Squads and Jones has final trials for Severn Stars3/7/2017 Team Bath
Following training with the team Bath long squads, Tallula Norman and Libby Rothwell have been selected into the Team Bath U17 final squad and Anya Le Monnier has been selected into the U19 Team Bath squad. Congratulations to the three players. Severn Stars Following the Training Camp in Jersey last month, Severn Stars invited Abbie Le Marquand, Molly Carre and Lily Jones to attend trials for U17 Severn Stars. Unfortunately Abbie and Molly are unavailable for the August tournament. Lily attended the trial and has been selected for a second trial on the 11 July in Gloucester. We wish Lily every success next week. Regional players Libby Rothwell and Tallula Norman had an exciting weekend as they played in an U19 South West tournament for U17 Team Bath Blues in Devon.
The girls performed really well and received a good amount of court team. The squad finished 3rd out of 8 teams losing only to the 2ns and 3rd finishers Teignbridge Titans and U19 Team Bath Gold. Congratulations to Serena Guthrie who has capped off a breakthrough Suncorp Super Netball season by being named the inaugural HCF Most Valuable Player at the GIANTS Netball Gala Dinner at Sydney’s Australian Technology Park on Friday 23 June.In her first season with an Australian club, Guthrie featured in every GIANTS game in 2017 – making the Centre bib her own after traditionally playing the majority of her career in the more defensive Wing Defence position.
As a result, the English international was a dominant force in the GIANTS’ midcourt, commanding play in all thirds of the court to finish the season with 198 Goal Assists, 488 Feeds, 22 Intercepts and 49 Deflections – an average of 11.7, 28.7, 1.3 and 2.9 per game, respectively. ![]() Congratulations to Serena Guthrie who has secured a place in the Full-time England Squad for the 2017/2018 Season.
