Following Team Bath trials last summer, Valeur-Adu was selected as part of a training group of over 100 players, which was then whittled down to a match squad that also featured her name. Since then, she has travelled up to twice a month for under-17 fixtures but is now hopeful that a move to Millfield School will reap further rewards, as it acts as one of Bath’s satellite hubs for junior netball.
Jordan, meanwhile, has been offered a sports scholarship at Monkton Combe School and is also the sole-recipient of the Ama Agbeze Award for 2020 – providing specialist input from the former England captain.
Fellow Islanders Anya Le Monner and Lily Jones have also left Jersey in recent years to further their chances of reaching the netballing summit with Bath, while Ella Warner who is at Marlborough College is currently a member of the club’s U16 set-up.
