![]() England Netball is delighted to confirm the England Roses squads selected for Fast5 and Netball Europe later this year. Selection trials took place at Loughborough University earlier this week and two squads have been named to compete for the Netball Europe trophy in Cardiff and the Fast5 title in Australia. The Roses head to Wales in early October as they look to retain the Netball Europe title they won in Newcastle last season. The England Roses squad selected for Netball Europe is as follows; Sasha Corbin (Captain), Natalie Haythornthwaite (Vice-Captain), Natalie Panagarry (Vice-Captain), Summer Artman, Eleanor Cardwell, Sophie Drakeford-Lewis, George Fisher, Jodie Gibson, Josie Huckle, Leah Kennedy, Gabriella Marshall, Vicki Oyesola Reserves: Amy Carter, Amy Clinton, Iona Darroch, Razia Quashie, Francesca Williams Later that month, it’s back to Fast5 action where England have had a successful history in the shortened version of the game, lifting the title in 2011 at the home of the 2019 Netball World Cup in Liverpool. The current champions are New Zealand, the most successful nation in the history of the competition. The England Roses squad heading out to Fast5 is as follows; Ama Agbeze (Captain), Joanne Harten (Vice-Captain), Beth Cobden, Rachel Dunn, Stacey Francis, Serena Guthrie, Natalie Haythornthwaite, Helen Housby, Gabriella Marshall, Geva Mentor Reserves: Sasha Corbin, George Fisher, Jodie Gibson, Leah Kennedy, Natalie Panagarry, Razia Quashie Tania Obst will be leading the team during these tournaments with Emily Perry taking her place on the bench as Assistant Coach. The England Roses squad selected is as follows; Ama Agbeze (c), Jade Clarke (vice-captain), Joanne Harten (vice-captain), Sara Bayman, Eboni Beckford-Chambers, Eleanor Cardwell, Beth Cobden, Kadeen Corbin, Stacey Francis, Jodie Gibson, Serena Guthrie, Helen Housby, Geva Mentor, Chelsea Pitman Reserves: Summer Artman, Sasha Corbin, George Fisher, Natalie Haythornthwaite Tracey Neville will once again lead the team with newly appointed Tania Obst joining as Assistant Coach and Colette Thomson supporting as Performance Coach. First of all the Roses head to Brisbane on Saturday 26th August when they take on the Australian Diamonds in a rematch of their classic encounter from London in February. On that occasion the reigning Quad Series champions took the victory by one goal with England pushing them all the way. It should be a fascinating start to this edition of the tournament. The team then heads across the Tasman Sea to take on the New Zealand Silver Ferns on Wednesday 30th August in Auckland as the Quad Series continues. The competition comes to a close for the Roses in Invercargill when they face off against the South Africa Spar Proteas on Sunday 3rd September. Following the Netball Quad Series, the Roses will continue their tour of New Zealand as they take on the Silver Ferns in a three-match International Series for the Taini Jamison Trophy.
