![]() The inaugural Jersey Sports Lottery was launched on the 1st August 2017. It aims to raise funds for local sporting clubs and organisations. The Jersey Netball Association benefits from each ticket that we sell! So if you are interested in buying one please do so through the JNA. There are 5,000 tickets for sale. They are priced at £150 each and £90 will be returned to the relevant club/association. If all tickets are sold, the clubs could be sharing a total sum of £450,000. The lucky winner will snag a comfortable top prize of £250,000, with a further £50,000 to be won in cash prizes. The draw will take place on 18 May 2018. Lottery organiser David Naylor says local teams are really in need of funds; “All clubs are supported by a lot of volunteers, whether they coach, manage, organise. The laws, the vetting, the standard of the sport keep on going up all the time and they do need better equipment, better grounds, more travel, more accommodation. So the pressure on money gets greater and greater. “At the moment, we’re up to about 26 clubs. I know others are having committee meetings so they can get involved as well. It really is attracting clubs across the board to get involved in that.” Please email [email protected] to register your interest. Pledge forms will be available to complete shortly. |
